Scholarship Fund
Through its Bursary Fund, Bokamoso offers scholarships, bursaries, awards and loans for study, research and teaching. In order to maximize impact, Bokamoso encourages learners to advance their studies in areas where there are skills shortage.
Leadership Training & Development
Bokamoso aims to build strong student and youth leadership which can effectively participate in developing South Africa. This initiative seeks to harness potential and develop it, thus creating a large pool of leaders capable of delivering at a local, regional, national or global scale.
Community Outreach
Bokamoso seeks to implement projects that are relevant to society’s needs and have a measurable social impact. Through its community-based initiatives, Bokamoso seeks to promote concepts and people who create awareness of, and advocate against, social injustices. The programme is also targeted at upskilling and inspiring communities towards adopting sustainable solutions to their challenges.
Exchange Programmes
In order to equip students and youth with a global view, Bokamoso has entered into strategic partnerships with similarly-minded organisations. Bokamoso facilitates and sponsors exchange programmes aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills transfer among students and the youth. Although not limited in geographical scope, the programme is however biased to pan-African exchanges.
The Students Memorial Precinct
As its flagship legacy project, Bokamoso is developing the Students Memorial Precinct to be located within the Cradle of Humankind belt in the greater Sterkfontein area, in honour of students that lost their lives in the fight for a democratic South Africa.
Beyond the reconfiguration of space, the development process will entail making moral contributions to the rebuilding and remoulding of the South African society, as well as promoting healing, sustainability and national empowerment.
